Opera

Opera is composed of a series of close-up portraits of the filmmaker’s friends immersed in acts of listening. Through subtle shifts in expression, the camera traces their internal responses to unseen sounds. Gradually, the images reveal a dissonance between what is perceived by the spectator and the source of sound itself, opening a space of projection and interpretation. Opera explores listening as a subjective experience, reflecting on how sound shapes our understanding of others and the world, and on the negotiation between internal experience and shared reality.
